The Writing & Grammar 9 (4th edition) two-volume teacher edition gives teachers the resources to equip students to apply grammar skills and writing strategies to craft effective written, oral, and visual communication within a biblical worldview in a variety of authentic contexts.
Students will learn grammar in the context of writing. The teacher edition will provide resources to guide students through inspiring mentor texts and writing practice and will systematically present grammar in connection with writing. Discussion notes and other teaching guides are resources teachers will use to help students to craft sentences and paragraphs into important messages that communicate a biblical worldview. The writing assignments in this course give students the opportunity to learn persuasive, informative, and narrative writing.
The teacher edition recommends using the following pedagogical strategies: Think-Write-Share, Think-Pair-Write, Turn and Talk, Turn and Teach, bell ringer, role-play, image brainstorm, Think Aloud, exit ticket, Quick Write, Sketchnotes, roundtable review, KWL chart, realia, previewing, concept map, peer review, analogy, discussion, and inductive-reasoning, identification, or analysis activities.
