Rated 5 out of 5 by from Interactive, some legalism We recently switched over to BJU for almost our entire curriculum and LOVE it! Five years into homeschooling and we finally found our core curriculum. The Bible 4 student text is fantastic - my daughter loves all the various puzzles. I enjoy seeing her flipping through her Bible to look up the verses and then contemplating many heart issues with the questions asked about what she just read. There is an element of legalism in Bible 4, which is something that is true throughout all of BJU materials. It is not enough for me to be overly concerned, but just enough to spark some wonderful conversation and turn to what the Bible says. Example: One of the problems was to x out things that a Christian does not. Some of the answers were "day dream during Sunday school" or "fidget during the sermon" and others along those lines. She became concerned because she does in fact do some of the negative things. We had a wonderful conversation about what the Bible says about sin in a believer's life! As with any materials or sources, our role as believing parents is to not rely on those alone to teach our chuldren the truth of God's Word. We are to instruct our children in the way they show go and glorify God in all that we do!
