What are eTextbooks?

BJU Press eTextbooks are electronic versions of the printed student textbooks.

Who can order eTextbooks?

eTextbooks are available to private schools and homeschools.

How do I order eTextbooks?

You can purchase your eTextbooks through our website or by contacting Customer Service or your Territory Manager.

What happens after I order eTextbooks?

Your school will receive an email after the eTextbooks order has been processed. The school administrator (or account holder) may then log in to the school's account and distribute the eTextbook access codes.

How do I access my eTextbooks?

eTextbooks can be accessed online or through the Vitalsource Bookshelf^® app. Visit support.vitalsource.com for further questions.

How many devices can I use to access my eTextbooks?

You can download your eTextbooks to two personal computers (desktops and laptops) and two mobile devices (Android^™ tablets/phones, iPad^®, iPhone^®).

Note—eTextbooks cannot be accessed on eReaders, such as Kindle* or NOOK^®.

How long will I have access to my eTextbooks?

You will have access to your eTextbooks for 16 months from the day that your access codes are redeemed.

How big are the eTextbook files?

The files are approximately 300 MB each. 

May I reuse my eTextbook?

No. When your eTextbook expires, you will need to purchase a new eTextbook if you still need access to it.

How do I order Christian Classroom Online?

How do I log in to CCO?

Log in to christianclassroomonline.com to access your CCO materials.

How much bandwidth will I need to stream classes?

You will need 768KB of bandwidth per instance of video streaming. Trying to stream too many classes simultaneously will cause all of the classes being streamed to have poor quality and can also cause buffering pauses—lengthening the time required to show the class. Refer to the table below for the recommended bandwidth.

For example, if you plan to have four classes streaming at the same time, you will need 4 x 768KB bandwidth. If you plan to have more than six instances at once, please contact Customer Service and consult with them about the appropriate bandwidth for your situation.

Which subjects include online assessments?

With the exception of Spelling 5–6, all subjects in Grades 5–12 include online assessments.

What happens after I order CCO?

• You will receive a written agreement from BJU Press. Follow the instructions for signing and returning it.
• Parents will need to sign the Parental Consent Form.
• Your school will need to provide BJU Press with facilitator information and student information for the classes that you have purchased.
• Login information will be sent on the date you select, usually the first day of class.

What kind of computer do I need?

You will need a laptop or a desktop computer with the following minimum system requirements:

• Pentium^® processor, 1 GHz, PC or equivalent
• Windows^® XP SP2, Windows Vista^® or Windows^® 7
• 512 MB RAM

CCO is best viewed at 1024 x 768 resolution. We also recommend external speakers with adjustable volume control and a large television with a VGA port.
