The Stanford Tests for Private Schools
BJU Press is now offering Stanford 10 paper/pencil with Pearson's scoring services. Please read Test Details carefully to see how this will affect your testing experience before ordering.
Stanford 10/OLSAT® 8 tests are available for private schools in most areas (not offered to public schools). Neither of these tests should be taken more than once in a 3-month period, and other restrictions may apply.
Before proceeding, please be aware that results turnaround is now 6–8 weeks after BJU Press receives materials and that BJU Press cannot control delays.
Stanford 10 Achievement Test
Features
- Available year-round for Grades K–12, the Stanford 10 is nationally standardized and meets most state requirements. (Check state requirements before ordering.) The achievement test is untimed. It assesses student achievement in academic subject areas.
- Includes a Lexile Measure for Grades 1–12.
- Shows prospective students and their families your school’s academic rigor.
- The approximate testing time is three to six hours, depending on the grade.
- Helps to measure both achievement and yearly growth.
Restrictions
- BJU Press is not offering special reports (e.g., Record Labels, reports with excluded students, Aggregate Reports for scholarships) for the Stanford 10 at this time, nor does BJU Press store student tests.
- Schools must enter student information before materials can ship. This will create a Student ID for each student. Testing & Evaluation will send a list of these IDs with materials, and schools will need to bubble the Student ID on each student's answer document.
- If you have answer documents on-hand, your school will need to order the scoring-only portion while ordering materials so that we can create and send Student IDs.

Otis-Lennon School Abilities Test®
Features
The OLSAT® is often used with the Stanford 10. When the combination tests are given, the results will allow the parent/teacher to compare the student's ability with his actual school achievement.
- Available for grade K5–12
- It assesses developed reasoning and problem-solving abilities important for learning.
- Combination testing (recommended every 2–3 years) allows comparisons between students' ability and their actual achievement.
- The test is timed and usually takes one hour.
- Helps to measure abilities/aptitude
- May help identify gifted students

*Return shipping is not included in either option. Please use an insured, traceable carrier when returning your tests to protect the time and effort you have invested in your testing.
**Please build in time for preparing your order, as well as weekends and holidays. User agreement must be signed before the order can ship. If the User Agreement is not signed three weeks after order placement, your order will be canceled.
Tips
Already have inventory?
If you have existing inventory and/or plan to reuse materials for 2 or more years, use the Purchase option for the best pricing. Once you have your own materials, next year you’ll only need minimal materials, such as answer documents or consumable booklets (includes scoring)—reducing your cost per student.
Note: If you have 2-part write-in booklets (grade K5–3) remaining, these can no longer be scored. Remaining answer documents can be scored, if the school calls 800.845.5731 to arrange this service.
High student/teacher ratio?
The higher your student/teacher ratio, the more you’ll save with the Purchase option.
Small class size?
Simplify by grouping several grades and using the Service Package option. Rather than accumulating inventory that may not match your future needs, you’ll be able to order exactly the right amount each year.

It is critical that the publisher’s guidelines for administering the tests be followed precisely. Please review the test administrator qualifications.
Scoring is now included with write-in student booklets (grade K5–3) and answer documents (grades 4–12). If you still have answer documents purchased before this change, call 800.845.5731 about placing a Stanford scoring-only order, or email testing@bjupress.com. Because write-in booklets are now one part, we cannot offer scoring for two-part booklets for grades 3 and below.
