Handwriting 6 seeks to develop fine motor skills of students by providing handwriting instruction in a fresh new way. Students will fine-tune preexisting handwriting abilities, as well as receive special instruction in the art of calligraphy. By following the journey of “Penfellow,” a fictional scribe, students will review the alphabet in cursive letters, learn about different trades and professions, and develop their knowledge of God along the way.

Spelling 2 teaches spelling patterns and strategies while encouaging meaning-based word studies and practicing dictionary skills. Mrs. Evanna Walker balances work and fun, and the occasional puppet visit, to help her students master spelling so that they can become better communicators for God.

Spelling 3 extends to use of phonics patterns, suffixes, and hte instruction of syllable patterns. Word sorting and other activities focus on word features and spelling-meaning connections. Dictionary skills include alphabetical order and the features of a dictionary page.

Spelling 4 includes instruction about spelling patterns and roles, as well as the use of words in context. Thirty-two weekly spelling lists introduce children to a variety of syllable pattens, suffixes, and prefixes.
