Interest Explorer can help your high school students make wise educational and career-planning decisions.

Students’ answers reflect their interests and preferences for a wide variety of careers, opportunities, and school subjects.

Because the Interest Explorer is administered in conjunction with the Iowa Tests of Educational Development^® (ITED^®), the student’s academic achievement is also factored into the evaluation.

The Counseling Report includes many of the scores reported for the ITED, as well as a ranking of the fourteen career areas from highest to lowest interest. The report also displays predicted ACT^® or SAT^® scores for students up through the eleventh grade.

You may administer the Interest Explorer only in combination with an ITED or a combined ITED/CogAT^® test.
