Inscriptions Writing Contest: "Storytime"

This month, write a short story (3-12 pages) with a strong theme that a wide range of readers can relate to. Remember, don’t shove the theme in your reader’s face—keep it subtle. If you want to know more about the role of the theme in a short story, check out this month’s article and writing tips.

The deadline for mailing your submission, your $3 entry fee, and your contest entry form is December 11. We’ll announce the winner in each category by the second week in January. The winners will each receive a copy of the book Courage By Darknessby Jeri Massi, featured in our “From the Bookshelf”section; and the winning selections will be published on the Inscriptions Showcase.

When you enter, be sure to mark your age category:
Ages 10–12
Ages 13–16
