Time to Walk the Plank! (Plank Grilling Made Easy)

Take your family back in time with a backyard barbecue that's reminiscent of the way early Native Americans cooked their game.Plank Grilling Made Easy

Plank grilling, inspired by Native Americans of the Pacific Northwest, has found its way into gourmet restaurants and, more recently, into the recipe collections of backyard chefs across the country.

Before the summer is over, why not enjoy a Native American history lesson while enjoying savory, wood-smoked fish or chicken on the grill?

Homeschooling in God's Economy

God's thoughts are not our thoughts, and His ways are not our ways. And nothing makes that more clear than the subject of money.

Take a closer look at God's economy--and be encouraged.

We say we need it all now.
He says we need only today's supply. (Matthew 6:11)

We say, "Look at my new financial plan!"
He says it's His plan--be careful. (James 4:13-15)

We say, "Where's the money, Lord?"
He says there are better things to look for. (Matthew 6:33)

We calculate our net worth and believe it.
He says to remember our worth in Heaven. (Matthew 6:20)

We look at bank accounts.
He says to look at hearts.  (Luke 21:1-4)

Beware Fallen Bats Funny Homeschool Moment

My preschooler and I had been reading many books about bats, so it came as no surprise that she came "flying" toward me one day with a blanket draped over her shoulders saying, "Look, Mommy, I'm a bat!"

The only problem was that the little bat wasn't watching where she was going and flew straight into the wall. She hit it hard enough to go flat onto her back. Expecting a cry, I was surprised to hear a weak voice say, "And now I'm a hurt bat."

Creative. Credible. Christian. Biblical integration for education you can trust.
