Rated 2 out of 5 by from Outdated Material I read through the test material it is very outdated and difficult for youth of this era to relate to or even understand. I do not feel this was a good assessment of where my child is academically. She attends a school part time for homeschoolers and is exceling yet these results do not reflect that at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ITED Grade 11-12 (Form C, Level 17/18) This is an excellent tool to assess your student's progress from year to year. It is also a wise piece of documentation to have on hand. It does not have a writing component. I realize that would be a stressful task for many and an additional layer to score. Nonetheless, state assessments and college entrance exams do have a writing component so that may be viewed as a slight negative with this assessment. There are other avenues to have a child's writing evaluated by an outside source so this can be addressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from for iowa tests We have always used the Iowa test vs Stanford bc it is a timed test. I like the fact that kids have to plan their time and not waste it uselessly. There is usually a time for tests in school and kids need to get used to it. The results are also similar to school grades that is, it reflects the students success in class. If my child is a B student, the Iowa tests will show that in the result and average compared to the rest of the students.
