ITBS Grade 5 (Form C, Level 11)

ITBS Grade 5 (Form C, Level 11) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Iowa standardized test, grade 5 Every year, I like to switch which standardized tests I give. For our 4th grade year, I used Stanford, OLSAT, and CoGat, and last year, our 5th grade year, I used CoGat and Iowa. I liked the Iowa test much better than the Stanford for academic testing. It was more up-to-date and the questions were clearer. However, when comparing the OLSAT and CoGat, I prefer the OLSAT. I thought it was more appropriate for cognitive skill level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Testing Option. I love that it's easy to execute and I love the detail that it gives me about how my student is doing. It helps me pinpoint strengths and weaknesses above just telling me how he's doing. Very useful tool to fine-tune his academic experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent testing material Excellent test to evaluate student progress. The results show strengths and weaknesses in very specific areas. This allows the teacher or parent to focus on those areas during the following school year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Iowa Basics good evaluation tool The Iowa Basics Tests are a good educational tool to evaluate the student's strengths and weaknesses. I have used them several times over the years and found them educator and student friendly. I have found them to be less politically correct than others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Testing Material We have been using this test for the state law requirements and we have been very happy with the quality of this test.. I believe it gives a fair assessment of what that grade level should be able to do...We have used this test for years and will continue to do so..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ITBS Grade 5 (From C, Level 11) This is an excellent tool to assess your student's progress from year to year. It is also a wise piece of documentation to have on hand. It does not have a writing component. I realize that would be a stressful task for many and an additional layer to score. Nonetheless, state assessments and college entrance exams do have a writing component so that may be viewed as a slight negative with this assessment. There are other avenues to have a child's writing evaluated by an outside source so this can be addressed.
