Physics focuses on linear, circular, and rotational motion, kinetic theory, temperature and thermodynamics, fluids, wave theory, sound, magnetism and electromagnetism, static and current electricity, basic electronics, and optics. The course also introduces quantum theory, relativity, and nuclear physics. The content is highly mathematical and analytical, but topics are also presented conceptually through observation of physical phenomena. Students learn through observing demonstrations, through performing laboratory activities, and through self-directed applications. The course fosters an appreciation for the way God reveals His nature through physics. Prerequisites: Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and/or Geometry. Students may take Algebra 2 or Geometry concurrently with Physics. Mr. Dick Seeley teaches this course.
