The Iowa Tests of Basic Skills® Level 9 Complete Battery achievement test includes Vocabulary, Word Analysis (optional)*, Listening (optional)*, Reading Comprehension, Spelling, Capitalization, Punctuation, Usage and Expression, Math Concepts and Estimation, Math Problem Solving and Data Interpretation, Math Computation, Social Studies, Science, Maps and Diagrams, and Reference Materials. This level is used for students in the third grade.

The Cognitive Abilities Test™ Level A includes the Verbal Battery (Verbal Classification, Sentence Completion, and Verbal Analogies); Quantitative Battery (Quantitative Relations, Number Series, and Equation Building); and Nonverbal Battery (Figure Classification, Figure Analogies, and Figure Analysis). This level is used for students in the third grade.
