I don't like the suggested teaching scheduleI have loved the layout of previous grade Teacher's Guides. This TG is so hard to follow and the suggested teaching schedule is confusing, stick to the lesson plan overview at the beginning of the book. It would be much easier to just have "For this lesson, read these pages and do this Activity Manual page". Very straight forward. The material is very in depth which is great.

Life SciencePros: This book is current and teaches the latest developments in the field of life science. My previous book was outdated, so this edition saves me a lot of time researching to double check the information. I also really like that the book follows the same layout as the previous edition. This means that most of my lesson plans work with only minor tweaking. Another text from BJU was updated in a way that is completely different than the old edition. Unfortunately, it will take much work to rewrite all my plans. I am happy that is not the case with this edition.
Cons: This text tends toward a more conventional method of teaching. I wish there were ideas for interactive motivation and wrap ups for each lesson. Especially for the age the text is designed, students learn best through interactive, enjoyable methods.

excellent textHaving taught the 2nd edition, previewed the 3rd edition, I feel this is your best edition of this textbook. Thank you for the additional helps and complete answers in all review areas. The standardized test prep are a big help in getting our students ready for SAT.
