Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, clean movie This is a movie I will let my children watch again and again. It is very difficult to find "clean" movies nowadays. No cursing, no trashy ungodly music, no immodest clothes. I really appreciate it and would very much like to see more of this type show.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We can't wait to watch this again. This film reminds us of the Christians who have suffered for their faith. After watching it we also appreciated our King James Bibles more than ever and the freedom that we currently have in our nation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great and godly DVD. This DVD brought home to us the fact that we are lacking in preachers like Sheffey. If preachers believed in the preservation of the Scriptures in the King James Bible, we'd all be blessed for it! Psalm 12:6,7. "O LORD, thou shalt preserve them"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love this movie! We have loved this movie for years. "Sheffey" gives such a thrilling look at the life of circuit riding preacher Robert Sheffey. It is so exciting to see how God used powerful preaching and a dedicated life to touch so many! One of the most profound parts was near the end of the movie where old brother Sheffey remarks, "These things weren't taken from us, they were given up." He was referring to some of the ways Christianity once impacted the culture and how that influence was weakening even in his day due to the apathy of Christians. I found that line very powerful and timely. Even though that part was sobering, most of the movie is just a joyful, triumphant, adventure-filled story of God's grace and power in the life of a humble country preacher. I would highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the greatest Gospel films ever made! I premiered "Sheffey" in Lansing, Michigan many years ago. We easily filled the large high school auditorium that was rented for the showing. (approx. 2,000). The film touches every aspect of a preacher's life and ministry; the mountain top experiences and the despair of the valley. It has been a classic for these many years and continues to bless, convict & encourage those who see it for the first time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A powerful and must-see story : victorious faith whatever the cost Such a moving story built on real-life testimonies which helps us understand the daily threat every Christian was facing during the Soviet rule, and that many Christians around the world are still facing even today. It challenges us to sacrifice everything for the Lord and His Word whatever the cost. To see that genuine faith will always be victorious, the Lord's name glorified, and the Church strengthened right in the middle of harsh persecutions is a powerful encouragement. May we remember and imitate the uncompromising life of these faithful believers of the past.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from foreshadowing? Shows the terror the unregenerate mind has for God's Word. What this portrays shows the possibilities of what may happen in this Country unless we pray against spiritual wickedness in High places

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A quality film - as always The Printing gave us a glimpse into the reality of persecuted Christians in other countries that do not openly welcome Christianity. It also provided us a challenge to be bold in our witness and to follow God's leading.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Outdated footage but on track with principle. Shows the biblical principle of standing up for your belief, but is showing its age. It is out of date with technology and details.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for very young audience It is a little slow and not that exciting for older children. Could be very captivating for a young audience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Engaging Characters are believable; gospel presentation is crystal clear. Viewer sympathizes with the Russian Christians who are persecuted. A great reminder of the freedoms we have in the US, freedoms which we routinely take for granted.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better for a Younger Audience I bought the DVD hoping to use it to supplement a Creation Science unit for my middle school class. Although it's a Christian School, the school uses a state-adopted curriculum, so I have had to create my own materials in order to integrate a Biblical worldview. While the story is a cute story, I was hoping for a lot more "substance" when it came to the conclusion. I would use this DVD for a younger audience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent out reach for salvation and life so blessed. Excellent presentation of a life in submission to the Lord and word of God emphasized unto our Saviors redeeming power and keeping. The production was an honor to the excellent quality portrayed in the acting and scenes so much a part of life as Robert Sheffy witnessed. Gratitude to the faithful workers for completion of this endeavor for the Joy of the believer and glory to our Lord .
