Excellent use within the classroomOur school has recently switched Literature curriculums to use BJU Press. We have found that the comprehension expectations are higher than our previous curriculum as well as the critical thinking skills. The curriculum has so much to offer that it seems nearly impossible to fit it all in in one semester. We love that there are so many different facets of this book including oral reading, reading comprehension, writing assignments, and class discussion prompts.

Good, with some need for improvementIt is difficult to find a good Christian curriculum for high school homschool, particularly one with tests! I am thankful that BJU Press fulfulls this need. I think the selection of stories is good. I would like to see more classic stories included in the text. I would also like to see more review questions at the end of each selection that fulfill the levels of Blooms Taxonomy, especially the higher levels of analysis, synthesis, and evaluation.
