Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent material Very easy to use product. My children have all used it and are all really good readers and like to read. Mrs. Walker is an excellent teacher and does an excellent job at making it interesting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Colorful & Comprehensive This Reading 3 Worktext is a nice transition from the 2nd grade reading program because it continues to work on phonics, yet challenges the 3rd grader with more challenging reading and more difficult comprehension questions. It also emphasizes Christian principles which is invaluable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great resource After having a good experience with BJ reading worktext 2, I was eager to get into worktext 3. These worktexts are very instructional and cleverly done so that the children enjoy them. I sometimes have to take them off the reading worktext as they would rather do this book than the rest of our curriculum. Ordinarily I do not purchase teacher keys, but with this worktext I found it saved me a lot of time by getting the key.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Student and teacher like this text It is nice to have all reading in one book and to purchase one worktext separately. Our kids love working in the workbook. The stories and poems promote Christian values and there are enough pictures but not too many.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from average I have used this book for 9 years. I don't care for the skill station pages to be separate in the back. I wish they were the back sides of the workbook papers. I wish the front sides were MORE comprehension checking. As it is, I don't always grade these pages. They are far too simple. I wish the stories were covering Biblical characteristics that our students should be exemplifying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Reading course! This Reading program is best! I've used it for my three girls, and am now using it for my boy. It's comprehensive, yet challenging. It's fun, yet educational. It's very easy to use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to the reading book I recommend the reading work text because it covers aspects of reading that students miss just reading stories. It covers phonics and comprehension skills.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reading book 3A My third graders and I enjoy the stories in this book, but, as a teacher, I would like to have some longer stories or at least combine book A with book B. At our school, we only use book A and supplement with "book links" books. I feel that by third grade, students need to be reading more chapter books rather than short stories. I would also like to see written comprehensive tests to go with each story.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from BJU Reading Worktext book for 3rd grade I love the stories in the reading book, but I am very unhappy with the worktext book. The workbook pages are too easy, we teach the vocabulary given in the teacher's manual but there are no practice pages in the worktext that go along with the vocabulary words, and the worktext book focuses more on the phonics then reading comprehension. I would love to see this book re-written pulling in common core, focusing on reading skills and have more reading comprehension questions (students have to write out the answers). Also, there are no benchmarker tests in this series to help the teachers make sure the students are progressing throughout the year. It is also in need of a beginning of the year reading placement test. Because I am so unhappy with the worktext book, I am trying to convience our school to change to a different series.
