Red Runs the River traces the influence of General "Stonewall" Jackson's vigorous faith on the profane, unbelieving Richard Stoddard Ewell. When Ewell meets God on the battlefield, he learns that surrender to Him brings true victory. This story proves that strong convictions change the course of nations and men. A resource for Heritage Studies. Suitable for upper elementary, teens, and adults.

Historical-Salvation-Soulwinning-ChallengingThis film was part of Bible devotions for several mornings to begin our school day. It captivated grades K-5 through the tenth grades. An invitation to accept the Lord was opened at the film's concluson. Although no one responded, yet the challenge to be saved is ongoing.
We all loved this film for the reasons given in the title.

History and redemptionThe story is one of faith and history combined. Any history buff will greatly enjoy the scenes of military life and any Christian will rejoice in the conversion of the General. The music is of the times and the inter-action of the soldiers very believable.

Excellent portrayal of the Civil WarMy daughter and son-in-law are Civil War reenactors and were amazed at the authenticity of the movie. I bought it for a gift to them. I attended BJA during the filming and knew some of the actors personally which made it super enjoyable for me. I would recommend this DVD for the family. And especially to all those interested in the Civil War!
