Not recommededThis is the first year I have used this book, and I am not all the way through it. That being said, it is not helping my students to become better spellers. The words are not challenging and are not practical. Words like phonograph, telegram or telegraph are not a part of my students' vocabularies except in history. The student exercises in the book are largely meaningless. Each lesson contains 4 countries of the world for the students to learn to spell. Some of these are no longer countries like Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia. Again, good for history, but not very practical.
