The Mantle of the Mountain Man

The Mantle of the Mountain Man by Rod Bell Sr. is an autobiographical account of his life. Born in the mountains of West Vieginia, in the poor Appalachian region, Bell shares childhood memories and recounts many life-changing decisions that would take him to Bob Jones University as a rough-hewn and unpromising but eager student to president of the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship. For more than thirty years Bell was also pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The Mantle of the Mountain Man is the story of a man who was at center of Fundamentalism during the last half of the twentieth century.
