Writing Christmas Card GreetingsSomeone has to write those little poems and holiday greetings inside Christmas cards. Many of them are silly, others are boring, and some are delightful. But you can do it better! This holiday season, write your own Christmas card greeting. It can be a rhyming poem or a free verse poem about the season. It could include a Bible verse that’s special to you, or a verse from a Christmas poem or song (don’t forget to include the author of any words that aren’t yours). It could be a collage of words that describe the season. Once you’ve written your card, find a nice font on the computer and print out several copies—or handwrite the words onto sheets of white paper. Cut out your greeting and paste it onto a larger square of red or green construction paper. Add a tiny bow or glue some holly onto one corner for an extra festive touch. Then give the cards to your family and friends. Or, with your parents’ permission, send your greeting as a Christmas email to your friends and include a holiday photo of yourself.
