About In His Hands, a new Easter cantata from SoundForthIn this poignant gospel presentation, David Burke skillfully weaves the perspective of two narrators: one believing disciple, Jude, and one unbelieving disciple, Judas. Through a first-hand description of Christ’s ministry on earth, each narrator explains His miracles, healings, and personal experiences while watching the life of Christ. In His Hands was designed to be used with the In His Hands Multimedia DVD. This DVD provides images of great works of art from the Bob Jones University Museum & Gallery that are interwoven into the fabric of the cantata. As the story unfolds, visual images of masterpieces of art bring the story to life. The DVD/media kit contains everything needed to successfully give a professional multimedia presentation, including high-resolution digital images of the paintings, timed to fit the drama; a pdf file of the production script, complete with timings; and a reference DVD of the entire production, featuring the Bob Jones University Singers and Orchestra. The original story by David Burke is adapted for Readers Theatre style performance and can be performed without the expense of sets and costumes. This cantata speaks powerfully to believer and unbeliever alike. Original music by James Koerts and Molly Ijames includes: “Faith of a Child,” “Come to the Light,” “The Darkest Hour,” and “In Remembrance” and is based on original text by Eileen Berry. The cantata also includes a traditional arrangement of “Christ the Lord is Risen Today,” with optional congregation. |
