BJU's Institute of Biblical Education offers a variety of Bible courses designed to help believers experience "God's light for living" These inexpensive, personal enrichment studies are open to people of all ages. In addition to the many written and video courses they offer, two are selected each semester for satellite broadcast.

7:00 - 7:55 p.m. (ET), Channel 1
Course: Grounded in the Faith: Studies in Bible Doctrines with Dr. Steve Hankins
Description:
Recent popular novels and archaeological findings have attempted to cast doubt on the person of Christ. Who was He really, and what did He do? Are we really sure He rose again, or might His bones be buried in a tomb in ancient Israel? In this course Dr. Hankins, dean of the Seminary & Graduate School of Religion, answers these and other questions about the person and work of Jesus Christ. Key terms are defined and unbiblical positions are refuted. The enrollment fee includes a valuable workbook and a certificate of completion.
Rebroadcast – Friday 5:05-5:55 p.m. (ET), Channel 4

8:00 - 8:55 p.m. (ET), Channel 1
Course: Future Events, Present Duty: Studies in the Minor Prophets with Dr. David Shumate
Description:
Some people think that the Minor Prophets are dry, dusty, and obtuse. Dr. Shumate disproves that idea with this practical and engaging survey of the Minor Prophets. The lessons develop one or more of the most important themes in each prophetic book and stress the fact that God did not give prophecy to arouse our curiosity but to move us to obedience. This course emphasizes the fact that Old Testament prophecies are more than predictions—they also teach us how to live today. The enrollment fee includes a valuable workbook and a certificate of completion.
Rebroadcast – Friday 6:00-6:50 p.m. (ET), Channel 4

In this course, Dr. Hankins, dean of the Seminary & Graduate School of Religion, answers these and other questions about creation, Satan, man, and sin. Key terms are defined and unbiblical positions are refuted. The enrollment fee includes a valuable workbook and a certificate of completion.
