BJ LINC French 2 Course Description

French 2 expands on the foundation laid in French 1 while strengthening the comprehension of the spoken and written language. The students’ current linguistic survival skills are developed with an expansion of vocabulary and reading skills. The text includes a selection of French songs with a Christian emphasis. Each chapter contains oral and reading comprehension sections that expose the student to French literature. Students will learn the language in the context of French-speaking lands throughout the world while being exposed to the oral dialects of these various areas.

Course Level: Grades 10–12

Meet the BJ LINC French 2 Teacher

Mrs. Susanne Anderson, B.A., M.A.,accepted Christ as her personal Savior as a sophomore attending public high school in Phoenix, Arizona. She received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from Bob Jones University and then taught for 16 years at Tri-City Christian Academy in Tempe, Arizona. Mrs. Anderson's French training includes high school and college French classes as well as three years of private tutelage in conversation and literature studies. She received an Advanced Professional certification in 1999 from the American Association of Christian Schools and continues to take enrichment classes in French education.

Mrs. Anderson enjoys working one on one with young people while sharing her love and burden for the French. Her future plans include more summer missionary trips to France as the Lord allows. Since her husband’s death in 1998, her favorite verse has been Isaiah 41:13. "For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” This is Mrs. Anderson’s eighth year teaching at BJ LINC.
