BJ LINC Algebra 2 Course Description
| The goal of Algebra 2 is to span the gap between Algebra 1 and Precalculus. Students review solving linear equations, graphing lines, and factoring polynomials. The course continues through all three major algebraic skills: solving equations, simplifying expressions, and graphing. Students will simplify expressions involving quadratic, polynomial, radical, rational, trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions as well as conic sections and complex numbers. They will also graph many of these functions as well as corresponding inequalities and systems.. |  |
Course Level: Grade 11 or 12
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Algebra 1 (Completion of Geometry is strongly recommended.)
Meet the BJ LINC Algebra 2 TeacherMiss Donna LaPage, B.S., M.S., has wanted to be a teacher for as long as she can remember. The Lord gave her a love for ministering to young people through the field of math. She received a B.S. degree in Mathematics Education and an M.S. degree in Counseling from Bob Jones University. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in secondary education. Miss LaPage served for three years as the BJ LINC Algebra 1 assistant. She is excited to have a part in training young people to be servants of Christ. Her favorite verse is Psalm 46:10. "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
