Course Description

Science 3 approaches science as a way of describing what God has created. Through studies of classification of animals, the solar system, skin, photosynthesis, birds, mass, and weight, students increase in their knowledge of the world God made.

Student Text

Building on the foundations of Science 1 and 2, Science 3 lessons acquaint students with a wider variety of minerals, animals, birds, and plants, as well as weights and measures, stars, and planets. A special section entitled Reduce, Reuse, Recycle introduces the concept of stewardship and how a student’s actions affect the world around him. Subjects include the following: sound; cells, tissues, and organs; minerals, rocks, and soil; animals; birds; work; skin; plants; and the solar system.
