Course Description

God and His People encourages the habit of daily Bible reading and application of biblical knowledge to daily living. Mrs. Schaffner stresses higher-level thinking skills while encouraging Christlikeness in students. Students follow Amy Carmichael through her missionary endeavors in India. Lessons also include Bible study skills, hymn stories, and church history figures.

Meet the Instructor

Mrs. Tawnja Van Reijn Schaffner, BS, MEd

Mrs. Schaffner has previously taught all the elementary grades. "I grew up on the mission field of the Netherlands. I have wanted to be a teacher from the time I was nine years old. I am grateful to the Lord for allowing the desires of my heart to become a reality. BJU Press Distance Learning is giving me a chance to teach children like yours in parts of the world I may never visit."
