Freedom That Lasts™ is a discipleship-based addiction program for overcoming life-dominating sins such as obsessive thoughts, gambling, eating disorders, cutting, drug addiction (including alcohol and tobacco), stealing, addictions to electronic gaming and social networking, workaholism, sexual sins (including pornography), and other compulsive behaviors. The program teaches that “you do what you do because you are what you are. To change what you do, you must cooperate with God to change what you are.”
The welcome book introduces the Freedom That Lasts™ program and lets the reader know what to expect from the classes, discussion times, and exercises. The student manual outlines the path of growth necessary to develop Christlike character and gain lasting freedom. The accompanying journal keeps the participant on track and helps him record the milestones of victory along the way.
Each of the ten lessons on the DVD focuses on one of the virtues from 2 Peter 1:5–7. These lessons are ten to twelve minutes each, designed to be used during Freedom That Lasts meetings.
